Mumbai based Thomson Thomas has left HDFC Life, where he held various management positions for over 19 years. Most recently, he led the insurance company’s IT sector as Executive Vice President-Technology.
As CIO, he developed the technology vision and strategy for HDFC Life, including digital transformation. He also held the responsibility for the development of corporate standards, technology architecture, technology evaluation and transfer; client relation management, and setting technology with business goals and revenue streams.
He is a seasoned IT leader with a proven track record in planning, developing, and implementing leading-edge information solutions to capitalize on business opportunities. Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in the IT, networking and communications industries. Before HDFC Life, he worked with companies such as Hutchison Max Telecom (now Vodafone) and Crompton Greaves.

He has received academic certifications from institutions such as ISB, IIM-A, and Columbia Business School.
In the future, he has planned a gap year for a few years, but will continue to learn and research new technologies.
