
HCLTech is set to expand its operations in Hyderabad with a new tech centre that will generate 5,000 additional jobs. The announcement followed a meeting between Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, and HCLTech’s Global CEO and Managing Director, C Vijayakumar, at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos on Tuesday.
The new facility, covering 3,20,000 square feet, will deliver cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to clients in industries such as high-tech, life sciences, and financial services.

Talking about Hyderabad’s role in HCLTech’s global operations, C Vijayakumar cited the city’s infrastructure and talent pool as key strengths. He also invited the Chief Minister and IT Minister to inaugurate the centre next month.

Revanth Reddy noted that the expansion shows Hyderabad’s appeal to global IT firms and strengthens its status as a prominent IT hub.
Sridhar Babu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering technology and innovation in the state, with efforts to extend these developments to smaller cities for local job creation. He assured HCLTech of full support for its growth in Telangana.
HCLTech, which has been operating in Hyderabad since 2007, will now have five centres in the city, with a combined capacity of 8,500 seats.
