Deepa Madhavan has been named as Genesys’ India Country Head.

Madhavan comes to Genesys from PayPal, where she worked to define, shape, and mature the company’s platform solutions. Deepa Madhavan is the India Country Head for Genesys. Madhavan will continue to develop Genesys cloud technologies and engage teams across all functions in her new role at Genesys India.


Madhavan, who has spent the last 25 years leading global engineering and product teams, will manage, support, and grow Genesys’ R&D center in Chennai.” Deepa joins us at a time when we are pushing forward with our focus on cloud innovation, maximising customer value, and driving business growth,” said Stephen Hamill, Managing Director and Vice President – of ASEAN & South Asia, Genesys.

“Deepa is a people-centric leader with the ability to successfully grow and build high-performing teams from the ground up,” Hamill added. Deepa joins us as we continue to make strategic strides in experience orchestration and pioneer the Experience as a Service market.

Madhavan began her career in Silicon Valley, where she worked for companies in a variety of industries, including green technology, telecommunications, and consulting. She has experience managing large technical and product teams and has expertise in the technology field.

For 13 years, Madhavan led PayPal’s multi-cloud-enabled privacy and security platform, which used machine learning to identify customer data.

Madhavan is committed to assisting women in advancing their careers in technology and has spoken at prominent technology forums and conferences such as the Grace Hopper Celebration.

Madhavan, who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Mills College, is a mentor to many aspiring women in the technology industry.

According to the statement, Geness’ Chennai center employs employees in product management, professional services, customer care, engineering, finance and sales, and other support functions who develop innovative and cutting-edge technology products for Genesys globally.
