Dell Technologies has named Manish Gupta as its new President and Managing Director for India, marking a significant leadership shift as the company accelerates its AI-driven growth in the region. Manish steps into the role following the departure of Alok Ohrie, who has chosen to step away to focus on personal priorities.
Operating from Bengaluru, he will spearhead Dell’s nationwide sales strategy and digital transformation efforts, aligning with India’s rapidly evolving tech landscape. With over 25 years of experience in the IT sector and more than a decade at Dell, he brings deep industry insight and proven leadership.
He previously led global alliances and channel strategy across the APJC region, playing a pivotal role in India’s infrastructure solutions business. Expressing confidence in India’s digital future, he said the country is primed to lead in AI adoption, and Dell is committed to supporting this journey.

This leadership change comes as Dell Technologies ramps up its AI capabilities, partnering with NVIDIA to build a powerful AI Factory for xAI’s Grok model, developed by Elon Musk. The newly launched servers, built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, promise a 50x boost in AI inference performance and 5x higher throughput over the previous generation.
These advancements are being deployed to fuel breakthrough AI applications—from disease prevention to next-gen manufacturing—positioning Dell as a critical player in the global AI race.
