Croma has elevated Shibashish Roy to the position of Chief Executive Officer effective from 18th November 2024. He joined Croma in 2021 as the Chief Business Officer (eCommerce and Marketing), and was serving as the Deputy CEO before being promoted. This transition comes as current CEO and Managing Director, Avijit Mitra, prepares for retirement in March 2025, continuing as Managing Director until then.
In his years at Croma, Roy has been successful in shaping Croma’s store operations, eCommerce, marketing, and tech initiatives. He has carved out an impressive omnichannel strategy and seamless customer experience for the organisation. Croma is backed by Infiniti Retail Ltd., which falls under the Tata Group.
Naveen Tahilyani, Chairman of Infiniti Retail, extended thanks to Mitra, acknowledging his remarkable leadership over nine years as CEO. “He has been a committed leader, advancing Croma’s omnichannel journey, strengthening brand affinity, and enhancing the customer experience. I am confident this marks the start of an exciting phase of profitable growth for the company,” he added. Tahilyani also informed that Croma now stands among the top three electronics retailers in India today.
