BigEndian Raises $6 Mn to Commercialise First SoC

Fabless semiconductor startup BigEndian Semiconductors has raised $6 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund. The round also saw participation from Vertex Ventures SEA & India, IvyCap Ventures, and angel investors.

The company plans to use the funds to commercialise its first system-on-chip (SoC), which is being developed for surveillance equipment.

Part of the funding will also be used to scale product engineering efforts, strengthen partnerships with foundries, and develop different form factors.

BigEndian Semiconductors builds custom integrated circuits and system-on-chip solutions for surveillance applications. The company is working on developing its SoC as part of its product roadmap.

The funding will support the company’s efforts to bring its first chip to market. Along with commercialisation, the company is focusing on advancing its engineering capabilities and expanding its development initiatives.

The company is also working towards strengthening its ecosystem by collaborating with foundry partners. It is developing different form factors as part of its product development process.
