Abhijit Bhalerao, a well-known CIO, has joined Raymond as the CIO of its Lifestyle Business, reporting directly to the CEO.

Abhijit has an impressive track record spanning over 23 years in professional and technology consulting, specializing in IT strategy, execution, and innovation. His experience includes managing large-scale SAP transformations, data security, risk frameworks, and IT integrations during business mergers and acquisitions, as well as IT budgets, policies, compliance, and roadmap development.

Abhijit comes to Raymond from Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd., where he served as Chief Information Officer, driving technology initiatives. His exceptional leadership abilities were critical in successfully spearheading enterprise-wide transformations such as Data Center consolidation with DR setup, ERP upgrades to SAP S/4 HANA, Supply Chain Optimization, Sales Workforce automation, and HR process digitization.

Prior to joining Nuvoco Vistas, Abhijit worked at Force Motors Ltd as Head of Group IT, where he was responsible for strategic direction, policy formulation, budget management, vendor coordination, and overseeing the implementation and support of critical groupwide initiatives such as S4 HANA, PLM, and MES.

Abhijit excelled as a Director at Ernst & Young LLP, where he led the competency and delivery of Business Applications and Infrastructure Solutions. He was instrumental in incubating and scaling up the SAP Bolt-On Solution, a key component of EY’s DigiGST offering that benefited over 100 Indian clients.

Abhijit’s impressive career also includes significant roles at HCL Technologies Ltd. as Operations Director – Technical (SAP) & Analytics and Aegis Ltd-Essar Group as Associate Vice President. His expertise in enterprise application transformations, infrastructure management, mobility, and analytics, as well as seamless application integration for international projects, was highlighted in these roles. He made outstanding contributions to each organization, directing strategic initiatives, overseeing critical initiatives, and delivering transformative results.

Abhijit’s enthusiasm for innovation and the use of emerging technologies to deliver business-focused solutions has earned him numerous industry honours and accolades. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University and a master’s degree in computer software and applications from KJ. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) in Mumbai. Abhijit is also a SAP Certified Solutions Consultant.
