Bengaluru-based Live2.ai, which builds AI agents that turn social-media conversations into marketing and commerce decisions for consumer brands, has raised ₹130 crore (about $14 million) in a pre-Series B round led by IvyCap Ventures. The deal was reported by ETEntrepreneur and DealStreetAsia on 27 October 2026.

The round mixes primary and secondary capital. The fresh money will fund growth, and the secondary portion gives early shareholders partial liquidity. That structure is still uncommon for an Indian AI company at this stage, and it points to investor confidence in the company’s revenue rather than only its roadmap.

From listening to acting

Many social listening tools stop at dashboards. Live2.ai is aiming further. Its platform, which DealStreetAsia describes as an AI-native “Social Intelligence OS”, tracks brand conversations across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X and review sites. It then routes what it finds to marketing, product, customer-experience and commerce teams so they can act on it.

According to ETEntrepreneur, the company runs eight specialised AI agents. They cover crisis detection, trend spotting, campaign and influencer-content auditing, and automated responses. The agents share one data framework, with governance controls and a human review step built in. The platform also handles compliance checks, social publishing and performance tracking. Brands can turn rights-cleared user-generated content into shoppable experiences on their digital and commerce channels.

Co-founder and CEO J Venkat summed up the problem the company wants to solve: brands, he said, are “drowning in signals and starved of action.”

Built in India, earning abroad

Live2.ai was founded by J Venkat (CEO), Neha Suyal (COO) and Yash Arora (CTO). It says it serves more than 200 brands across the US, Europe and Southeast Asia, including Henkel’s Schwarzkopf, Titan Brands, Shiseido and Salonory. The company reports that revenue has grown fourfold in the past 12 months and that about 90% of revenue comes from outside India. That makes it an example of an Indian-built AI product company selling mainly to global enterprise buyers.

Vikram Gupta, founder and managing partner at IvyCap Ventures, pointed to the startup’s traction, revenue growth and scalable product architecture. He said the fund was backing the team as they build the category “from India for the world.”

Where the money goes

The company says it will use the capital to:

  • deepen its agentic intelligence layer and the AI agent platform;
  • widen enterprise deployments and go-to-market with global consumer brands;
  • build out regional cloud infrastructure across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific; and
  • hire engineers, data scientists and customer-success staff in North America, Europe, Singapore and India.

Why it matters for enterprise AI leaders

For CIOs and CMOs, the round reflects a wider change in enterprise AI. Spending is moving from copilots that summarise information to agents that take bounded actions inside business workflows. Marketing and customer experience suit this approach well. The volume of signals is far too large for human teams to triage, and the cost of a slow response to a brand crisis is easy to see.

Live2.ai’s design also matches the governance concerns now shaping agentic AI adoption. Its agents run on shared data with explicit controls, and humans review their actions. As regulators in India and abroad look more closely at how autonomous systems act on behalf of businesses, auditability and human sign-off are becoming purchase criteria in their own right.

Finally, the deal adds to the evidence that Indian AI startups building vertical, revenue-generating agent products are drawing growth capital. Investors are increasingly backing applied AI businesses that serve global customers from an Indian engineering base, alongside foundation-model and infrastructure plays.
