Tenneco has appointed Arvind Chandra as Chief Executive Officer for its India operations, underscoring the company’s focus on deepening its presence in a rapidly growing market. This leadership transition reflects Tenneco’s ongoing strategy to enhance its influence and drive accelerated growth within India’s dynamic automotive sector.

Jim Voss, Global CEO of Tenneco, highlighted the significance of this leadership transition. “India remains a key driver of growth for Tenneco globally. With Arvind’s deep expertise and understanding of the Indian automotive landscape, we are well-positioned to scale our operations and innovation efforts”, he shared.

Under Chandra’s leadership, Tenneco plans to accelerate its push for lightweight, cost-effective automotive solutions while positioning India as a critical hub for manufacturing and cross-functional excellence. Rishi Verma, President of Tenneco India, will continue managing day-to-day operations, reporting directly to Chandra.

In the 2023-24 fiscal year, India’s automotive components industry contributed $57 billion to the nation’s GDP.
