The Elets GCC Future Forum & Awards, hosted by Elets Technomedia in partnership with Elets CIO, is set to unfold tomorrow, 20th September 2024 in Bengaluru. This distinguished gathering will discuss  the growing role of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and their impact on business growth through technological advancements and innovation.

Supported by the Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka as the Host State Partner, and the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) as a Strategic Partner, the one-day event is packed with  a robust agenda.


The Elets GCC Future Forum will commence with a welcome address by Dr. Ravi Gupta, Founder & CEO of Elets Technomedia and Editor-in-Chief of Elets CIO,  laying the groundwork for the day’s discussions.

The forum features a dynamic lineup of keynote addresses setting the stage for insightful dialogues on the evolving Global Capability Centres (GCCs). Keynote addresses from dignataries such  Darshan H.V, Director, Department of Electronics, IT, BT, S&T, Government of Karnataka, and Managing Director, K-Tech; Arvind Kumar, Director General Chairman of STPINEXTKS; Viswanathan, Chief Mentor at Stratinfinity; Mohandoss Thulasidoss, Founder & CEO of CompassMet; Ashutosh Sharma, Chief General Manager – Development at International Financial Services Centres Authority; and Sumit Mitra, Chief Executive Officer at Tesco will provide further strategic perspectives on GCCs and their future trajectories.

The first major session will feature a panel discussion on “India’s GCC Evolution: Leading the Charge in the New Globalisation Era”, delve into the transformative shifts in GCCs and their impact on the global business landscape.  Moderated by Balasubramaniam MS, CEO of Stratinfinity, this session will gather industry leaders such as Anand Ramakrishnan, Managing Director of Equiniti India; Soumit Basu, Associate Director at Sony; Ramya Hrishikesh, Vice President of Operations at HSBC; Anshuma (Dogra) Singh, Director and India IT Head/Site Leader at Applied Materials; Sandeep Poddar, Global Head – Record to Report & India Site Lead at Philip Morris International; Sandeep Kulkarni, Sr. VP & Head of Worley Enterprise Services at Worley; and Sanjeev Gupta, Head of Technology at Wayfair. 

A major highlight of the forum will be an exclusive fireside chat featuring Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka, and Dr. Ravi Gupta, Founder & CEO of Elets Technomedia. This session will offer invaluable insights into the latest regional advancements and collaborative efforts shaping the GCC sector. Dr. Caur and Dr. Gupta will discuss the crucial role of government initiatives and strategic partnerships in driving GCC innovation and growth, shedding light on how these elements contribute to Karnataka’s emergence as a global leader in technology and business capabilities.

Another engaging fireside chat on “Innovate, Influence, Excel: India’s Role in Shaping Global Capabilities and Geopolitical Strategies through Soft Power” will explore how India is leveraging its unique position and soft power to drive global innovation, influence international strategies, and shape future geopolitical landscapes.

The afternoon will showcase a series of insightful panel discussions. The first panel, “Evolving GCC Roles: From Back-Office Support to Global Solution Architects & Revenue Drivers,” will include Titir Pal, Managing Director – Wealth, Fraud, Operations & Regulatory Compliance Data and Analytics at Citi; Dr. Sanjeev Rastogi, Chief Executive Officer-GCC at Adani Enterprises Limited; and Hema Nevetia, CFO and Shared Services Leader at Allstate India, moderated by Bharath M Sundaram, Vice President at Everest Group.

Another key panel, “Optimising Gen AI Capabilities in GCCs for Enhanced Global Operational Efficiency”, will feature Chandramouliswaran V, Vice President of Data & India Site Leader at PayPal; Ankur Garg, Global Head of CI, Digital Transformation & Strategy at Halliburton; and Mitali Dutta Das, Head of Data Science & AI at Philips. 

The event will also address “Evolving Synergies in GCC with Data Centre & Data Analytics’, with panelists including Nithya Subramanian, Head of Data & Analytics – AMEA at Kellanova; Sivakumar Selva Ganapathy, VP – Software Engineering at Johnson Controls; and Bidhan Roy, Vice President – Artificial Intelligence CoE Leader at Fidelity Investments.

The critical topic of  “Talent Development and Skilling: GCCs Preparing the Workforce for Digital Disruption” will also be discussed. This panel will feature Varghese C O, Chief Human Resource Officer & Vice President at Fidelity National Financial India; Srimathi, Head of HR at Comcast India Engineering Center; and Arpan Shukla, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. 

The Elets GCC Future Forum & Awards will culminate with the Elets GCC Innovation Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in the GCC sector.
