Wipro to acquire US-based digital firm ITI for USD 45 By Elets News Network - 06 June 2019

IT major Wipro will acquire US-based International Techne Group Incorporated for USD 45 million (around Rs 312 crore).

Wipro said this acquisition would add value to its core services in the industry and will allow it to offer end-to-end solutions in Digital Engineering and Manufacturing.

Tom Gregory, CEO, ITI, said its clients would gain access to Wipro’s global services and ITI’s innovative solutions to accelerate the adoption of digital manufacturing initiatives.

Harmeet Chauhan, senior vice president, Industrial & Engineering Services, Wipro, also expressed happiness over the decision and said that ITI’s unique offerings and solutions will add value to our organisation.

The acquisition is expected to close in the quarter ending September 30, 2019.

ITI provides Computer Aided Design and Product Lifecycle Management interoperability software services. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Ohio, USA, ITI has offices in the UK, Italy, Israel and Germany.
