Vinod Bhat, the former Chief Information Officer of Vistara – TATA SIA Airlines Ltd., has been appointed the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd (TACO). In his new role, he will leverage advanced solutions such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (Gen-AI) to unlock data-driven insights and drive intelligent automation.

Bhat also aims to use IoT (Internet of Things), IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies, Plant Automation and Manufacturing Excellence, to create interconnected ecosystems within manufacturing plants, helping TACO with real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, seamless communication, inventory management, and logistics.

He has 31 years of experience in the industry, specialising in digital innovation, transformation and growth. He has delivered several aviation-industry-first solutions leveraging new-age digital technologies.

Bhat has worked for over 10 industry vertices, including aviation, retail, CPG (food and beverages, home and personal care, toys and more), pharma, healthcare, automotive, BFSI, telecom and IT consulting. He has two master’s degrees in Electronics and Computer and Information Sciences, from the University of Kashmir and University of Hyderabad, respectively.
