Global investment management giant Vanguard has inaugurated its first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion of its global technology operations.
The Hyderabad centre will begin with around 300 professionals by the end of 2025 and is projected to grow to over 2,300 employees by 2029, making it one of Vanguard’s largest technology hubs worldwide.

The GCC will drive initiatives in cloud modernisation, data analytics, AI/ML, and cybersecurity, alongside collaborative innovation labs designed to accelerate the development of Vanguard’s digital platforms and enterprise solutions.
Vanguard’s global CIO described the Hyderabad expansion as a “talent play rather than a cost play,” citing the city’s exceptional talent pool, quality of life, and thriving innovation ecosystem.

For Telangana, the development reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a preferred global destination for technology and financial services GCCs. The state already hosts seven of the world’s leading asset management firms and aims to attract 120 new GCCs and create over 120,000 jobs in the coming years.
Vanguard’s entry further strengthens Hyderabad’s reputation as a strategic global hub for innovation, investment, and advanced technology development.
