Persistent Systems opened an excellence center in Kolkata. According to a statement from the company, the new CoE ( Centre of Excellence ) for emerging technologies and software engineering will ‘attract top-notch talent’ from the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and the North-Eastern region. However, the number of employees who will be hired for the new facility has not been made public by the company.

The CoE will create software products and digital assets so that customers can take advantage of cutting-edge technologies. “Kolkata is one of India’s fastest-growing IT hubs and is the country’s intellectual and cultural center. Anand Deshpande, chairman and managing director of Persistent Systems, expressed his genuine joy at including this city in his organization’s growing network of talent hotspots around the world.

Deshpande, revealing the company’s strategy, said that by partnering with prestigious universities, this new location will help us attract top talent and allow our current team members in the area to work from the office, strengthening our capabilities and culture even further.

The business opened an office in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in November of last year. The 450-seat office will help the company’s clients from a variety of industries on their business transformation journey by adding to its expanding global delivery network.

Recently, Persistent Systems announced its financial results for the six-week period that ended on June 30. In comparison to the previous quarter, the company’s total revenue increased to 2,342.82 crore from 2,263.29 crore. A decrease from the previous quarter’s net profit of 258.39 crore to the current quarter’s net profit of 243.54 crore.

The business revealed a partnership with Google Cloud last month in order to introduce a number of generative AI solutions. Based on Persistent Systems’ IP and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, this partnership offers customers a six-week generative AI deployment acceleration program to help them use the technology effectively.
