Online men’s clothing wear brand Henry & Smith has announced that it has raised USD 1 million through seed funding round led by WEH Ventures and Rukam Capital.
The funding round was also participated by angel investment platform LetsVenture.
As per the company, the funds will be used to expand its distribution and hire more workforce in its team.
The company was launched in 2017 by Gaurisha Gupta and Nikhil Goyal. Earlier, to this they have together founded an apparel brand, White Kalia, which provided T-shirts based around pop-culture, comics and popular TV shows.
“We noticed that most men struggle with online shopping, especially for bottom wear and they take over 15 days, browsing through numerous websites, buying, and returning items before they find one that they love. We wanted to change that and launched our brand, which has very limited options while ensuring a high fit-rate of over 93 percent; all, at an incredibly reasonable price. This is why customers come to us again and again,” Nikhil Goyal, Co-founder, Henry & Smith, said.
The company so far has served around 75,000 customers. As per the company, it has grown 5x since March 2019 in sales, and sees an average order value of Rs 2,700.
