Mercer has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Niall O’Sullivan to the new role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in Dublin. As the CIO for global solutions, O’Sullivan is tasked with the oversight of global investment strategies and the management of client portfolios across the world. Before rejoining Mercer, he served as the multi-strategy CIO at Neuberger Berman.

The firm also announced the appointment of David Boatwright as the global head of technology strategy for investments. David Boatwright, based in Boston, joined Mercer from State Street Global Advisors, where he had amassed significant experience. Furthermore, Michael Brand has been named the global head of real assets, having previously worked with Cambridge Associate. These appointments are part of Mercer’s initiative to expand its investment leadership, enhancing the firm’s research and investment capabilities to secure the best outcomes for its clients.


Hooman Kaveh, the Global CIO of Mercer, expressed enthusiasm over these strategic additions to the team. He highlighted the firm’s commitment to leveraging its comprehensive research and investment expertise to meet and exceed client expectations.
