
Lenskart has announced the appointment of Abhishek Gupta as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following the departure of Mukti Hariharan to Coca-Cola in September. Abhishek, who previously served as CFO at Oyo for nine years until March, revealed his transition through a LinkedIn post. Taking the financial charge at Lenskart, he will drive long-range planning while fortifying the company’s financial framework and governance protocols.
In a recent development, Lenskart secured approximately USD 20 million in funding from its co-founders Peyush Bansal, Neha Bansal, Amit Choudhary, and Sumeet Kapahi. The company has established a strong retail presence with over 2,500 stores globally, of which approximately 2,000 are located in India. The company’s revenue distribution reveals that India contributes 60 percent of its total income, while the remaining revenue streams from international markets including Singapore, Dubai, the US, and Southeast Asia.

The company’s financial performance for the fiscal year ending March 2023 showcases remarkable growth, with revenue from operations surging to Rs 3,788 crore from Rs 1,502 crore in FY22. This substantial growth, combined with disciplined spending measures, enabled Lenskart to reduce its losses by 37.3 percent, bringing them down to Rs 64 crore in FY23 from Rs 102 crore in the previous fiscal year.
