KEC International, an infrastructure engineering, procurement, and construction firm, announced new orders totalling 1,313 crores across multiple businesses.

The transmission and distribution (T&D) business of the RPG group has received orders for projects in India, East Asia Pacific, and SAARC, according to a statement.


A 220 kV GIS substation for an Indian refinery project; a 500 kV Transmission line in Thailand; and a 132 kV Transmission line and associated substations in Nepal are among the projects. Its solar division has received a significant order for a 500 MW Solar PV project in India.

“We are delighted with the new order wins, especially our largest order in the Solar business to build a 500 MW Solar PV power plant in India. We are now refocusing on this business in line with the government’s emphasis on green hydrogen and renewables such as solar,” MD & CEO Vimal Kejriwal said.

“With the substation order in T&D, we have now diversified our customer base to include non-utility clients to the current power utilities. T&D orders from East Asia Pacific and SAARC have increased our presence in these international markets. With these orders, our YTD order intake stands at Rs. 14,500 crores, a 20% increase over last year,” he added.
