The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) at IIIT Raichur with an investment of ₹12 crore.

The centre will focus on advancing AI research, innovation, skill development, and industry-academia collaboration. It is expected to provide students and researchers with opportunities to work on emerging AI technologies and real-world applications.
