The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) recently unveiled “NamAIste,” the world’s first generative AI-powered Hospitality GPT, marking a significant milestone in India’s technological advancements in the hospitality sector.
Developed in collaboration with Entiovi Technologies, NamAIste is a domain-specific large language model (LLM) designed exclusively for the hospitality industry. It offers real-time insights, global best practices, service innovations, and curated content from over 60 countries, all within a customized AI-powered interface.
NamAIste is designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for hospitality students, educators, and professionals. It provides access to standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and trend forecasts, aiming to revolutionize hospitality education and workforce readiness.
Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman of IIHM and a prominent AI supporter, emphasized that while AI can assist, it cannot replace the human touch that defines the hospitality industry. He stated, “AI cannot change the human factor. Our industry is a people industry. It’s for the people. This will always remain an industry of smiles and hospitable character. AI will assist this to ensure that we rise to the customer’s expectations purposefully and work and apply AI in a different way,” underscoring the balance between technology and tradition.
NamAIste is powered by Entiovi Technologies, an Indian firm specializing in AI-driven business solutions. According to Sanjoy Chatterjee, Co-founder of Entiovi Technologies, NamAIste stands out for its “deep learning capabilities and context-aware knowledge delivery,” tailored specifically for educational institutions, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, and culinary schools.
Its real-time feedback mechanisms, translation engines, and content generation modules have been rigorously tested to ensure industry compliance and global relevance. The system even allows for updates based on region-specific hospitality trends, making it not just a learning assistant but also a dynamic knowledge platform.
The launch of NamAIste aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a ‘Make in India’ initiative, showcasing India’s growing influence in global innovation. The platform is a testament to India’s commitment to integrating advanced technology with traditional industries, setting a precedent for future developments in the hospitality sector.
With NamAIste, IIHM is not only preparing students for the industry but also equipping them to lead it, marking a transformative step in hospitality education and practice.
