HCLTech to invest ₹14,257 Crore in AI Data Centre at Odisha Sovereign AI Park By cioNetworks - 24 July 2026

HCLTech has announced plans to establish its first AI data centre in Odisha with a proposed investment of ₹14,257 crore, in partnership with AI startup Sarvam and the Odisha government.

The facility will be developed at the upcoming Odisha Sovereign AI Park in Bhubaneswar and will support India’s growing sovereign AI infrastructure. Under the collaboration, Sarvam will contribute its Indian foundation models and AI capabilities, while HCLTech will bring expertise across AI infrastructure, enterprise platforms and services.

HCLTech has also signed a separate agreement to establish a 5,000-seat Global Technology Center in Bhubaneswar, with operations expected to begin by 2028. The initiatives are expected to strengthen Odisha’s position as an emerging technology and AI hub while supporting India’s Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
