HCLTech has unveiled VisionX 2.0, the latest version of its multi-modal AI edge platform, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. VisionX 2.0 builds on HCLTech’s Intelligent Secure Edge capabilities by combining advanced computer vision, vision language models, and edge-optimised generative AI. The platform processes data directly at the edge—using AI-powered hardware and software stacks—to enable faster decision-making while reducing dependence on cloud connectivity. This approach helps organisations address latency challenges, maintain data privacy, and ensure reliable performance in sensitive operations.

A key highlight of the platform is its multi-modal AIoT engine, which can analyse inputs from video, audio, images, LiDAR, and IoT telemetry simultaneously to detect anomalies, safety risks, or operational inefficiencies. The solution also incorporates zero-trust security architecture and zero-touch provisioning, allowing enterprises to deploy AI capabilities securely across distributed industrial sites while integrating seamlessly with existing cameras, sensors, and management systems.

Company leaders said the new platform reflects a shift from traditional monitoring systems to real-time, AI-driven decision support at the industrial edge.
