Google’s Bard AI enhances creativity and fact-checking with latest updates By Elets News Network - 03 February 2024

Google's Bard AI

Google’s Bard, the conversational AI chatbot, has recently been enhanced with exciting new features, including the ability to create images from text descriptions and extended language support for its self-fact-checking function. The introduction of image generation is particularly striking, utilising the improved Imagen 2 model for crafting high-quality, photorealistic images based on user prompts. This feature allows for a wide range of applications, from design mock-ups to conceptual illustrations or simply for entertainment. Google highlights the balance between quality and generation speed in Imagen 2, incorporating SynthID technology for watermarking and employing rigorous safeguards against generating harmful content.

Furthermore, Bard’s double-check feature, which verifies its responses against credible online sources, now supports over 40 languages, including Hindi and Portuguese. This expansion significantly enhances Bard’s ability to deliver trustworthy information across a broader spectrum of regions.

Additionally, Bard’s internal capabilities have been upgraded with the extension of Gemini Pro across more than 40 languages in over 230 countries. Gemini Pro enhances Bard’s performance in understanding, reasoning, summarising, and coding, contributing to more efficient and nuanced interactions. According to Google, this positions Bard among the leading AIs in terms of performance.

These updates not only bolster Bard’s position as a versatile AI assistant but also open up new avenues for creativity and ensure more reliable information dissemination across diverse linguistic landscapes.
