Frinks AI, a promising AI-driven manufacturing startup founded by IIT Hyderabad alumni, has successfully raised $5.4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Prime Venture Partners. This latest infusion of capital brings the company’s total funding to $6.25 million. Alongside Prime Ventures, participation came from established investors such as Chiratae Ventures, Navam Capital, and Ashok Atluri, founder of Zen Technologies. The startup also benefits from strategic advisory support from industry veterans associated with Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, and Tata Sons.
Founded by Aditya Agrawal, Dharmgya Sharma, and Subhra S. Bhattacherjee, Frinks AI is at the forefront of automating quality control in manufacturing using cutting-edge Vision AI technology. The company specialises in developing foundational vision models tailored specifically for visual inspection and defect detection in manufacturing environments. With over five years of deep research underpinning its technology, Frinks AI’s platform delivers inspection accuracy levels up to 99.99%, significantly improving defect detection and operational efficiency for manufacturers.
The startup’s no-code platform has already been adopted on more than 1,000 production lines worldwide, servicing diverse industries including automotive, consumer goods, building materials, steel, cement, and medical devices. The solution empowers manufacturers to automate and streamline inspection workflows, integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, and scale across multiple production environments. Customers have reported notable reductions in product defects, enhanced consistency, and improved throughput since implementing Frinks AI’s technology.
Aditya Agrawal, CEO and Co-founder of Frinks AI, described the funding milestone as a key step in what he termed “the beginning of a new industrial revolution.” He emphasised the growing trend towards localised, technology-driven manufacturing as countries seek to strengthen supply chains amid global trade disruptions. “With ongoing supply chain disruptions and rising global trade tensions, we’re witnessing a significant shift towards localised manufacturing that prioritises internal consumption,” Agrawal said. “Frinks AI is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation by helping manufacturers become smarter, faster, and more resilient.”
The fresh capital will be strategically deployed to scale the Vision AI platform into new international markets, with a particular focus on expanding the company’s footprint in the United States, a critical growth region. The company also plans to invest heavily in research and development to further refine its AI models and maintain its competitive edge. Additionally, Frinks AI is actively forging go-to-market partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and automation companies to accelerate adoption.
Brij Bhushan, Partner at Prime Venture Partners, underscored the startup’s innovation in an industry where visual inspection has traditionally relied on outdated, rule-based methods. “Manufacturing visual inspection has existed for decades but was limited in scope and accuracy due to rule-based systems,” Bhushan remarked. “Frinks AI’s proprietary foundational models leverage advancements in AI and image processing to deliver unprecedented reliability and applicability. We are excited to support their global scaling ambitions.”

Their involvement lends additional credibility and industry insight as Frinks AI navigates its growth trajectory.
As the manufacturing sector increasingly embraces artificial intelligence and automation, Frinks AI stands out for its ability to deliver highly accurate, generalizable vision AI solutions that address real-world challenges on factory floors. By enabling manufacturers to automate complex quality control processes, the startup is helping drive productivity, reduce costs, and enhance global competitiveness. With ambitious plans to scale globally, Frinks AI is poised to play a pivotal role in the ongoing AI-led industrial evolution.
