Freshworks has named Murali Swaminathan as the Chief Technology Officer of the SaaS company. He will be reporting directly to the CEO and President of Freshworks, Dennis Woodside. As the CTO, Swaminathan will lead Freshworks’ technology strategy and oversee global engineering and architecture teams. He has over three decades of experience in software engineering and management.

Before joining Freshworks, Swaminathan was the Vice President of Engineering at ServiceNow, where he led most of their key projects in IT Service Management and Strategic Portfolio Management. He has also worked in other leadership positions at Recommind and CA Technologies.

Swaminathan has a Master’s degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Annamalai University in India.
