Fabindia names Rajeshwari Srinivasan as new the CEO By Elets News Network - 18 April 2023

Fabindia announced that Rajeshwari Srinivasan has been named CEO, effective April 2023.

Srinivasan will succeed Vinay Singh, who served as MD and CEO of the company for seven years. Singh will remain on the Fabindia board as a non-executive director.
Rajeshwari Srinivasan has worked in FMCG, retail, luxury, and hospitality for over 30 years. She previously held executive positions at TATA Group companies such as Rallis India, Tata Consumer, Indian Hotels, and Titan Company. She is a Chevening Scholar and an alumna of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).

“She has a strong passion for social impact and inclusiveness in business, and she has spent significant of time working with micro-enterprises.” “With her experience, Srinivasan will lead Fabindia’s next phase of growth,” the company said.

Fabindia, which is backed by billionaire Azim Premji’s fund, backed out of a Rs 4,000-crore initial public offering (IPO) earlier this year due to volatile market conditions.
