Dentsu names Unmesh Pawar as Chief People Officer for India & South Asia By Elets News Network - 28 November 2022

Densu has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Unmesh Pawar as Chief People Officer (CPO) for India & South Asia, accelerating its growth trajectory. Unmesh will report to Luke Speers, Chief People Officer, dentsu APAC, and Peter Huijboom, Interim CEO, dentsu India, in his new position.

He will continue to build on dentsu’s unique talent expertise in the Indian and South Asian markets, overseeing all aspects of the talent strategy and assisting the dentsu India leadership in shaping the culture journey to retain and attract best-in-class talent. He will also work to improve the network’s employee experience and overall value proposition, stepping up the network’s ongoing effort to design a future-ready, people-focused organization that meets clients’ changing needs in this fast-paced economy.

Unmesh has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of Human Resources, beginning with services and consulting. He specializes in building high-performance leadership teams and leading large-scale complex cultures. By designing and deploying innovative talent management practices, he has created differentiated capabilities for well-known brands such as Accenture, Mastek, Tata, and Peerless. Unmesh previously served as the Chief People Officer at KPMG, guiding the brand through a period of rapid change and delivering on a progressive people agenda.
