Daimler Truck has announced the appointment of Raghavendra Vaidya as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), with his tenure commencing on June 1, 2025. He will take over the reins from Marcus Claesson, who is stepping down voluntarily after serving in the role.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT sector, Vaidya brings a wealth of expertise, leadership, and a forward-thinking approach to his new position. His career includes a series of leadership roles at General Electric and a deep involvement in steering global IT functions. At Daimler Truck, he has played a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing the Daimler Truck Innovation Centre India (DTICI) in Bangalore. His efforts there have primarily supported the company’s central functions, engineering, and IT domains.

In his new global role, Vaidya will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT landscape at Daimler Truck, ensuring it continues to drive innovation and enable the company’s ongoing growth and digital transformation.

Vaidya holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, and a Master of Technology in Software Systems from BITS Pilani. As he steps into his new role, he is expected to build on the strong foundation laid by Claesson and guide Daimler Truck’s digital journey with renewed momentum.
