Senior leadership from Costco Wholesale recently visited a newly established office marking the launch of what is being positioned as a centre of excellence (CoE) for the global retail giant.
The development was shared by ANSR, which is supporting Costco in setting up the facility. The centre is expected to serve as a hub for digital transformation, innovation, and technology development, strengthening Costco’s global operations.

According to ANSR, the new centre will bring together technology talent and innovation capabilities to solve complex business challenges and accelerate enterprise-wide transformation. The company highlighted that the facility will play a key role in building Costco’s technology capabilities to reimagine retail at a global scale.
While the exact location has not been officially disclosed, indications suggest that the Global Capability Centre (GCC) is based in Hyderabad, a rapidly growing hub for multinational technology and innovation centres in India.

ANSR, known for enabling global companies to establish and scale GCCs in India, is acting as the strategic partner for the initiative.
The move reflects a broader trend of global enterprises investing in India-based GCCs to drive digital transformation, leverage skilled talent, and build scalable technology platforms for global operations.
