Arctic Wolf, a US-headquartered security operations player, has set up its first Indian global capability centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The new office will play a central role in elevating the company’s platform, security operations solution and product development, along with establishing closer proximity with its clients in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The GCC is planning to hire 150 employees by the middle of 2025, with roles focusing on research and development, including AI and threat intelligence. Currently, the investment being made in India is equivalent to 20 per cent of the company’s total R&D workforce. This number is expected to increase over time.

Dan Schiappa, The Chief Product and Services Officer of Arctic Wolf, said, “By tapping into the highly skilled workforce in Bengaluru, we aim to further accelerate the development of advanced machine learning models and AI-driven cybersecurity detections within our platform, providing our customers with unparalleled protection against evolving cyber threats.”

This expansion increases Arctic Wolf’s global footprint. It now protects more than 6,000 customers across various industries and employs more than 2,500 employees across the globe.

Arctic Wolf helps its customers manage their cyber risks to counter modern cyber-attacks through a cloud-native security operations platform. It delivers automated threat protection, response, and remediation capabilities and its Security Operations Cloud analyses over 5.5 trillion security events a week.
