Apple has recently reinforced its Indian presence by inaugurating a new office at Minsk Square in Bengaluru. This addition complements Apple’s existing corporate offices in India, in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram.

The Bengaluru office spread across 15 floors, can house up to 1,200 employees. It features specialised lab spaces, areas for collaboration, and wellness amenities, including the famous Caffe Macs. The office is home to diverse teams working in software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, customer support, and more.

Consistent with Apple’s pledge to maintain a carbon-neutral corporate operation since 2020, the office’s interior utilises locally sourced materials like stone, wood, and fabric for its walls and flooring, and is embellished with indigenous plants. Echoing Apple’s shift to 100% renewable energy in 2018, this new facility is powered entirely by renewable sources. The company also aims to achieve a LEED Platinum rating, the highest certification in energy and environmental design.

An Apple spokesperson expressed excitement about the expansion in India, particularly in Bengaluru, a city that already houses many of their skilled teams. The spokesperson highlighted that the office is designed to inspire innovation, creativity, and collaboration, reflecting Apple’s ethos.

With a history of over 25 years in India, Apple now employs close to 3,000 people in the country. The company has strong ties with Indian suppliers, supporting numerous jobs nationwide.

In recent years, India has become a crucial market for Apple. The company has seen record-breaking iPhone sales and is expanding its manufacturing base in the country. Notably, Apple began producing iPhones in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. In 2023, it started manufacturing the iPhone 15 in India before its global launch, marking a significant shift in its production strategy.
