Apple has unveiled a major upgrade to Siri at WWDC 2026, introducing an AI-powered version of its voice assistant built around Apple Intelligence. The revamped Siri is designed to be more conversational, context-aware, and capable of performing complex tasks across apps and devices.

The new Siri is available through a dedicated app across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and visionOS. Conversations are synced privately through iCloud, allowing users to start an interaction on one device and seamlessly continue it on another.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, Siri can now understand personal context, on-screen content, images, and broader world knowledge. The assistant is also capable of handling multi-step actions across different apps without requiring users to manually switch between them.

During the WWDC keynote, Mike Rockwell, Apple’s Vice President, described the upgraded assistant as “a profoundly more capable Siri” that helps users find information and complete tasks more efficiently.

Apple also integrated Visual Intelligence into the iPhone Camera app and introduced access via keyboard shortcuts on Mac. Additionally, new Writing Tools enable Siri to draft, proofread, summarize, and refine text across Apple’s ecosystem and most third-party applications.

The AI-powered Siri will initially launch in English, marking a significant step in Apple’s push to bring generative AI experiences across its devices while maintaining a strong focus on privacy and on-device intelligence.
