Air India has announced a partnership with Microsoft to reimagine employee experiences and accelerate the company’s digital transformation journey. The collaboration aims to capitalize on the opportunities provided by Microsoft’s collaboration and security tools to create a comprehensive, agile, and empowering employee experience for Air India employees worldwide.

Attracting best-in-class talent is a critical transformation pillar of Air India’s Vihaan.AI initiative. A critical component is developing a strong employee proposition and providing every employee with an intuitive and simple-to-use digital productivity and collaboration suite. Air India will gain access to a rich set of tools in Microsoft 365 as a result of the collaboration, allowing the company to provide best-in-class security, collaboration, integration, and effective communication capabilities.

“As we embarked on the journey of transforming Air India’s technology landscape, deploying a world-class productivity, collaboration, and security suite were at the top of our agenda.” The Microsoft technologies we have now deployed will assist us in reimagining our employee experience and make it a very compelling proposition for those who wish to join us on this exciting transformation journey. On top of the deployed Microsoft technologies, we intend to develop systems that implement unique airline use cases such as precision schedule and aircraft turnaround management,” said Dr. Satya Ramaswamy, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Air India.

“We were very impressed with Microsoft’s teams’ customer focus and agility, which helped us achieve this milestone successfully in a very short timeframe,” Ramaswamy added.

“Air India is one of the country’s most iconic brands, and we are honoured to collaborate to define the next frontiers of employee engagement in the airline industry.” Employees who are energized and empowered are the key to every organization’s long-term competitive advantage in today’s hybrid work environment. “Our collaboration with Air India aims to empower every employee in the company to do more by providing the right Microsoft 365 family solutions to enhance security and collaboration across the organization,” said Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India.
