Accenture has appointed Binny Mathews as its New Chief Procurement Officer. He will be heading the company’s Procurement Plus (P+) capability.

Mathews will be leading the strategic direction for Accenture’s global procurement spend. The role involves carrying out the company’s supply chain’s transition into a diversified, sustainable value chain that is dedicated to ethical and profitable buying and 360° supplier partnerships.


Experienced procurement professional Mathews left Infosys to join Accenture, having previously held the positions of group head of procurement and senior vice president. Throughout his career, he has also led teams at Marico, FreeMarkets (now SAP Ariba), and Tata Group. At these companies, he created cutting-edge, data-driven methods for sustainable procurement.

Expressing his enthusiasm on joining Accenture, he commented, “I’m excited to lead Procurement Plus and continue advancing Accenture’s global leadership in responsible buying, with sustainability, transparency, agility, and inclusivity underscoring how we work with our suppliers around the world and across the marketplace.”
