Uber Partners with Adani Group to Set Up First Data Centre in India

Uber has announced a partnership with Adani Group to establish its first data centre in India, marking a major expansion of the company’s technology infrastructure in one of its most important global markets.

The announcement was made by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi after meeting Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad. The facility is expected to become operational later this year and will support the testing and deployment of Uber’s technology solutions at scale.

Khosrowshahi said the investment will enable Uber to build technology products “from India, for the world,” underscoring the country’s growing role as a global innovation hub for the company.

The move aligns with India’s increasing focus on data sovereignty and digital infrastructure, while also strengthening Adani Group’s expanding presence in the data centre and AI ecosystem.
