Hero MotoCorp has appointed Sachin Agrawal as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective May 21, 2026, as part of its strategy to accelerate innovation in next-generation mobility.

In his new role, Agrawal will lead the company’s global research and development transformation, overseeing operations at the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in India and the Hero Tech Centre Germany (TCG). His focus will include advancing electrification, alternative fuels, connected mobility, and software-defined vehicle technologies.

Agrawal brings nearly three decades of experience in automotive R&D and technology leadership. Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of R&D at VE Commercial Vehicles and has worked across diesel, CNG, electric, and hydrogen platforms.

He succeeds Vikram Kasbekar, who will step down from the CTO role but continue as Executive Director on the company’s board, ensuring leadership continuity.

The appointment underscores Hero MotoCorp’s focus on strengthening its innovation pipeline and advancing its roadmap in sustainable and future-ready mobility solutions.
