Sanas Acquires Tomato.ai in Third Deal in Two Years to Expand Carrier-Embedded Speech AI By cioNetworks - 16 April 2026

Sanas

Sanas has acquired Tomato.ai, marking its third acquisition in less than two years as the company accelerates efforts to embed real-time speech AI directly into global carrier networks and communications platforms.

The acquisition strengthens Sanas’s ambition to move beyond standalone software products and become core infrastructure for voice communications. The company said its technology is designed to operate inside carrier systems, communications platforms, and enterprise environments that collectively power billions of calls worldwide.

Sanas has reported strong business momentum, reaching $62 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), serving 21 Fortune 500 customers, and achieving 176% net revenue retention. Its growth has been driven by real-time speech-to-speech synthesis technology capable of operating at sub-200 millisecond latency, enabling natural and seamless voice interactions.

Sharath Keshava Narayana, Chief Executive Officer of Sanas, said the company’s vision is not to build “an app you install,” but invisible infrastructure embedded directly into communication networks. He added that the most valuable layer in any technology stack is often the one users do not see.

As part of the acquisition, Ofer Ronen will lead Sanas’s expansion into the telecom carrier segment. Ronen brings experience from founding and exiting three startups, along with deep relationships across major global carriers.

The deal is expected to accelerate Sanas’s strategy of making speech AI ubiquitous across customer service, telecom, enterprise communications, and voice-driven workflows.
