Tata Communications has appointed Bhaskar Gorti as the new Executive Vice President, Cloud & Cybersecurity Services. He will also be a part of the Global Management Committee at the company.

AS Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO of Tata Communications, welcomed Bhaskar to the leadership team, highlighting his strategic insight, success in scaling technology businesses, and expertise in Cloud and Security services. It will “make him a strong asset to our Global Management Committee,” Lakshminarayanan stated.

Bhaskar Gorti shared his thoughts about joining the company, praising the vision of Tata Communication for digital innovation. He said, “The company’s vision for the digital fabric is truly revolutionary, and its commitment to expanding its cloud and cybersecurity portfolio aligns perfectly with my passion for innovation and growth.”

Prior to his current appointment, Gorti was a CEO and board Member of Platform9. He was also amongst the Board of Directors in Sandvine between May 2021 and July 2024. He also served as the President of Nokia Software and Chief Digital Officer of Nokia between January 2015 and August 2021.

Gorti holds a Master’s degree in Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
