Soin has worked for Qualcomm for more than 20 years and is a member of the company’s senior leadership group. In several leadership positions over the course of his employment, he has contributed to defining the company’s strategic direction.

According to the company, Soin served as team leader for Qualcomm Technologies’ Global Strategic Partnerships and Business Incubation team, which was in charge of launching new companies and managing strategic alliances.

Soin was previously the head of Strategy and Business Development at the semiconductor division of Qualcomm Technologies, where he was in charge of developing and implementing Qualcomm’s strategy.

Vagadia will relocate to Qualcomm’s headquarters in San Diego and take on a new position as a Vice-President to oversee Global Distribution and Global Carrier Strategy. She has been the Qualcomm India President for the past five years.

Qualcomm Technologies said in a statement that under his leadership, the company expanded its presence in industry sectors like automotive and IoT and strengthened its position in India’s wireless technologies market. The company also built significant relationships with stakeholders for the country’s rollout of 4G and 5G networks.

“For Qualcomm, India is a priority market, and we are still committed to investing there. Rajen has been a strong leader and has helped to accelerate innovation in India while bolstering our presence there, and for that, I want to thank him. Savi’s success at Qualcomm has been largely attributed to his leadership abilities, technical expertise, capacity for problem-solving and strong teamwork, according to a statement from Cathey.

The company reported $8.4 billion in revenues, a 23% year-over-year decline, and $1.8 billion in net income, primarily as a result of a persistent downturn in the smartphone market.
