BAM Digital Realty, a joint venture between Brookfield Infrastructure and Digital Realty, has purchased 2.15 acres of land in Chandivali, Mumbai, for the construction of a new cutting-edge data centre. This will be BAM Digital’s second data centre in India. The company’s first 20 MW greenfield data centre (MAA10), which is set to open at the end of 2023 on a 100 MW campus in Chennai, is on schedule.
The facility, when completed, will provide 35 MW of IT load, bringing the company’s total planned capacity in India to 135 MW. The total investment required to construct the facility is expected to exceed Rs. 2,000 crore.

BAM Digital Realty’s new site was chosen for its proximity to customers and central location in metro Mumbai, essential characteristics of a well-connected facility capable of supporting the region’s growing demand for critical digital infrastructure.

BAM Digital Realty’s strategic investment in Mumbai expands on the company’s initial foray into the Indian market. The company’s first 20 MW greenfield data centre (MAA10), which is set to open at the end of 2023 on a 100 MW campus in Chennai, is on schedule.
