Razorpay and Sarvam Enable Voice-First Conversational Commerce in India; Swiggy Onboards as Early Adopter By cioNetworks - 25 March 2026

Razorpay

Razorpay has partnered with AI startup Sarvam to introduce voice-first conversational commerce in India, enabling users to discover, order, and pay for services using natural language interactions.

As part of the rollout, Swiggy has joined as the first early adopter, allowing users to place food orders through voice commands on Sarvam’s conversational platform. The integration eliminates the need for traditional app navigation, offering a more seamless and intuitive user experience.

The solution combines Sarvam’s Indic language AI capabilities with Razorpay’s payment infrastructure, enabling end-to-end transactions—from discovery to checkout—within a single conversational interface. This approach is particularly significant for India, where voice interactions and regional language usage are rapidly growing.

Initially, the feature will be deployed through Sarvam’s Indus App, with Swiggy services integrated into the platform. Over time, the companies plan to expand the offering to other businesses, allowing enterprises to integrate voice-based commerce into their own applications.

The initiative reflects a broader shift toward agentic and AI-driven commerce, where transactions are handled through intelligent assistants rather than traditional interfaces. By simplifying digital interactions, the partnership aims to make online commerce more accessible, especially for users who prefer voice over text.
