Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Sifi Data Centre in Greater Noida on Saturday, reinforcing the state’s commitment to technological progress. He also revealed plans for an artificial intelligence (AI) data centre in Lucknow, further strengthening UP’s digital infrastructure.
CM Yogi highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s rapid strides in business facilitation, citing the implementation of 33 Sectoral Policies aimed at fostering industrial growth. “We have tailored policies to meet modern technological needs, particularly benefiting the youth through research and development. These policies have significantly enhanced the ease of doing business,” he remarked. According to him, the state has successfully implemented investments worth ₹15 lakh crore, leading to employment opportunities for lakhs of young professionals.
To streamline business operations, the government has introduced over 500 single-window clearances, complemented by the Nivesh Sarathi portal, which ensures seamless tracking of MoUs.

Uttar Pradesh has also emerged as India’s largest hub for IT and electronics, a feat once considered challenging due to policy constraints. CM Yogi emphasized that a significant portion of India’s electronic manufacturing now takes place in the state. “Noida and Greater Noida have become focal points of this industry. UP alone contributes 65-70% of the country’s mobile manufacturing and 55% of the electronic components used in mobile devices,” he added.
Despite its landlocked geography, Uttar Pradesh has been bridging connectivity gaps through world-class infrastructure development. Over the past eight years, the state has transformed into a benchmark for seamless connectivity, making it an attractive destination for investment and innovation.
