Global cybersecurity company Trend Micro Incorporated has made crucial improvements to its enterprise and consumer cybersecurity products to counter AI-driven attacks and fraud.
A research conducted by Trend Micro revealed a surge in the use of AI tools by cybercriminals to make cyber attacks more affordable and accessible. These tools enable large-scale attacks for extortion, identity theft, fraud, and misinformation, even by low-skilled attackers.

The new deepfake detection technology, soon available on the Trend Vision One platform, employs advanced techniques to identify AI-generated content, including image noise analysis, colour detection, and user behaviour analysis. This technology will alert enterprise security teams, allowing them to take preventive measures.

For consumers, Trend Micro offers the Deepfake Inspector. It can help verify if a person is using deepfake technology during a live video conversation, and alert the consumer if they are being deceived.
