Asia’s largest contract research & manufacturing organization Syngene International Limited has announced that it has appointed Sibaji Biswas as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Committee.

The appointment will come into effect from December 18, 2019.

Currently, M.B.Chinappa is the CFO, who will step down to join a new position in the company.

Jonathan Hunt, CEO, Syngene International said, “We are delighted to welcome Sibaji to Syngene. He brings operational experience combined with a deep finance background which will be extremely valuable to the company as it enters the next phase of growth.”

Biswas is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. It holds more than 20 years of experience in finance and related functions. Prior to this, he has worked as CFO and Board Member for Vodafone Romania. He has worked with Vodafone for 11 years and companies like Fascel Telecommunications, Jhagadia Copper and the ABP Group.
