EaseMyTrip.com, an online travel technology platform in India, has announced Rikant Pittie as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder. Pittie will now lead the company, focusing on growth, innovation, customer service, and strengthening EaseMyTrip’s position in the travel industry.

Earlier the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director, Pittie stepped into the role after Nishant Pitti, the founder of EaseMyTrip, resigned. Nishant, in a letter to the board, shared his decision to step down for personal reasons and thanked the team for their support. Reports suggest that Nishant may sell his 14.21% stake in EaseMyTrip through a block deal worth about Rs 780 crore.

Pittie co-founded EaseMyTrip in 2008 and has nearly 16 years of experience in travel, tourism, human resources, and technology. He has played an important role in the company’s growth and operations. Under his leadership, EaseMyTrip has focused on customer needs to remain a leading platform in the travel market.

Sharing this development on LinkedIn, Pittie wrote, “I am incredibly honoured to take on the role of CEO and Co-founder of EaseMyTrip.com, a company that has been a part of my journey for over 16 years.” He further said that the travel industry is changing with technology making travel more personalised, as a result, the company is aiming to “integrate cutting-edge solutions that make exploration not just easier, but extraordinary.”
