NASSCOM announced the appointment of Rajesh Nambiar as its next President-Designate. Nambiar recently stepped down as the Chairman and Managing Director of Cognizant India. He will take over from Debjani Ghosh when her term ends in November 2024.

Nambiar remarked on his appointment, stating that it is an exciting time for the industry as it shifts towards AI-first companies, leveraging talent as a key competitive advantage, driving growth, and boosting investments in intellectual property creation and research and development.

Calling himself privileged to take on this opportunity, he plans to collaborate will all stakeholders to improve the capabilities of the Indian tech sector.

Nambiar has worked with companies like TCS, IBM, Ciena, and Cognizant. He served on NASSCOM’s Executive Council before being elected as Chairperson in 2023.
