NetApp and Ducati Corse extend partnership to deliver advanced data solutions By Elets News Network - 14 October 2023

NetApp

NetApp extends its affiliation with Ducati Corse as their official data infrastructure partner for the years 2023–2025. Through the agreement, racing analytics and R&D will be improved thanks to a virtual data management and insights solution driven by NetApp technology.

Speed is crucial in the realm of grand prix racing. Ducati Corse turned to NetApp to assist in the design of a new data insights and management system after realizing that its synchronization times between the racetrack and amongst engineers across several sites, including the Borgo Panigale HQ, were too long to be useful. NetApp helps tech teams get the most out of test and race weekend sessions, which may be the difference between pole position and a starting place down the grid. NetApp provides almost real-time data exchange and analytics.

According to Gabie Boko, Chief Marketing Officer at NetApp, “through our joint innovation with Ducati, we’ve played a crucial role in revolutionizing their data infrastructure, enhancing every aspect of their software development, design, and engineering.”

“With this data management platform, we can manage, share, protect, and move our data in our hybrid cloud environment seamlessly from the factory to our garage, to the track during a race, and share data with our engineers in a way that is fast, secure, and seamless,” said Gigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse.
