Microsoft has appointed Bhaskar Basu as the new Country Head – Enterprise Partnerships for India and South Asia. In this role, Bhaskar will lead Microsoft’s efforts to deepen collaboration with key partners, including global system integrators, independent software vendors, enterprise SIs, and solution providers, to accelerate digital transformation and AI-driven outcomes across the region.

With over 20 years of experience spanning strategy, sales, and partner ecosystem development, Basu is well-positioned to drive Microsoft’s partnership strategy in this high-growth market. He has been with Microsoft for 14 years, during which he has held several leadership roles that helped expand the company’s enterprise footprint in India and South Asia. Most recently, he served as Senior Director for Modern Work Solutions & Devices, overseeing the Microsoft 365 and Surface business, and previously led the Modern Work and Surface portfolio as Country Head, helping organizations adopt new models for hybrid and digital work.

Before joining Microsoft, he worked with companies including Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and Publicis Sapient, where he focused on partner development, sales leadership, and cloud transformation initiatives. Known for building scalable partnership models and driving customer-focused innovation, he is expected to play a critical role in advancing Microsoft’s strategy in the region, strengthening relationships with strategic partners, and delivering AI-powered solutions to enterprise customers.
