Microsoft + Yotta

Microsoft and Yotta Data Services have entered a strategic partnership to advance AI adoption across key sectors. Announced on Wednesday, the collaboration aims to integrate Microsoft Azure’s advanced AI services with Yotta’s sovereign Shakti Cloud platform.

This alliance will enable seamless access to Azure AI’s powerful tools, applications, and models via Shakti Cloud, while Yotta contributes its high-performance GPU-powered infrastructure for AI training and inference. The partnership is designed to support a wide range of stakeholders including startups, enterprises, government bodies, and academic institutions.

Aligned with the Government of India’s IndiaAI Mission, an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), the collaboration promises secure, low-latency AI solutions tailored for industries like healthcare, retail, finance, and manufacturing. Notably, the IndiaAI Mission has already received over 500 indigenous AI development proposals as of May 2025.

“This partnership is a significant milestone in India’s journey toward AI self-reliance and digital empowerment,” said Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, CEO, and Managing Director of Yotta Data Services. “We are unlocking access to state-of-the-art AI technologies for Indian enterprises of every size, fueling the country’s AI-driven future.”
