
Mercedes-Benz has announced the appointment of Emrah Ozer as its Chief Financial Officer for Indian operations. The change, part of a reorganisation in its finance and controlling function, has been effective since 1 January 2025.
Ozer currently holds the position of Board Member and Head of Finance & Controlling at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey. He will soon join the Board of Mercedes-Benz India as Executive Director. He takes over from Evren Cakabey, who has assumed the role of Executive Director and CFO at Mercedes-Benz G GmbH, Austria, starting 1 January 2025.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, called Ozer’s experience in international finance, business modelling, and investor relations as valuable assets for the company’s operations in India.

Ozer has held several key positions in Finance & Controlling at Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz AG, and Smart, managing responsibilities across India and NAFTA regions. At Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey, he worked closely with various stakeholders, including governments, financial institutions, and investors.
His career began in 2002 in Stuttgart, Germany in the Finance & Controlling department at Smart GmbH. He then went on to become the Head of Project Controlling for India and NAFTA in 2008. Ozer holds a Master’s Diploma in Economics from the University of Wilhelmshaven.
